Your Role: At MilliporeSigma inMilwaukee, WI we are seeking a Scientist - Analytical Development todevelop, execute and evaluate new analytical methods, technologies, andexperimental plans in support of chemical process development andmanufacturing. \* Develop, improve, or optimize analytical laboratorymethods supporting ongoing research, process development and customchemical manufacturing. Design and execute experiments with the goal toassess reaction conditions, raw material quality and final productpurity \* Support process development with rapid - response analytics.Transfer the developed analytical platforms to quality controloperations via departmentally supported procedures. Problem solving andtroubleshooting in support of departmental or plant operations \*Maintain databases, document work and results accurately and generatetechnical reports \* Establish credibility as individual contributor andwork as a team to achieve goals, including meeting deadlines andproductivity markers \* Execute appropriate on-line and literaturesearches in support of assigned work and/or troubleshooting \* Interpretspectral and other analytical data for structural elucidation andchemical understanding \* Present scientific rationales for unexpectedexperimental outcomes including out-of-specification products.Participate in the development of new technologies with applications inlaboratory, in - line or at - line testing \* Assist process developmentteam in establishing specifications for intermediates and final productsWho You Are: Minimum Qualifications: \* Master\'s Degree in Chemistry,Chemical Engineering or other Life Science discipline OR \* Bachelor\'sdegree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other Life Sciencediscipline \* 2+ years experience in an industrial process or QCdevelopment environment Preferred Qualifications: \* Knowledge ofchemical synthesis and safe chemical handling \* Basic chemical analysisskills (GC, mp, HPLC, IR, UV, NMR). Knowledge of spectra interpretationand mathematics \* Experience with techniques such as ICP-MS, GC-MS,LC-MS, IC, and wet chemical analysis \* Effective oral and writtencommunication skills \* Technical writing (experimental procedures,reports, etc.) Computer literate (SAP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, LotusNotes, etc.) \* Organizational and time management skills.
