Our team owns DeepLearning AMI and Deep Learning containers AWS products. We build base frameworks layer to integrate open source frameworks and related machine learning libraries to work on EC2, SageMaker, Graviton and Neuron. Our goal is to make AWS the best place to run Deep Learning.

Key job responsibilities
Deliver High-Impact Solutions: Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Amazon SageMaker, EKS, EC2) to deliver seamless integrations that improve the customer experience and optimize performance for ML workloads.

Engage with Customers: Partner with customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure DLCs meet and exceed expectations for usability, performance, and reliability.-

Build and Lead Teams: Mentor and coach a diverse team of talented engineers. Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

About the team
In this role, you will work on building Deep Learning images based on PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow to AWS customers and internal SageMaker teams. You will work with partners like Nvidia, EC2, Graviton teams to build images and run performance benchmarks using LLM models. The role provides opportunity to influence across teams like HyperPod, SM Training and Notebooks. You will also work on contributing to AWS open source packages like DLAMI and DLC.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
