Essential Duties:

  • Safely performs analytical testing (quality control testing, manufacturing plant technical support and evaluation of new sources of raw materials and finished products)
  • Basic wet chemistry and use of Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) instrument equipment
  • Receiving, labeling, and analyzing samples
  • Assumes technical responsibilities including operating various laboratory and office equipment as necessary to meet scheduling demands
  • Makes personnel shifts when necessary to accommodate fluctuating workloads
  • Provides guidance to employees regarding pulling optimal samples from raw materials
  • Checks and transfers data as necessary and takes steps to correct possibly inaccurate data prior to processing
  • Conducts routine and random facility tours to maintain safety and proper regulations
  • Maintains telephone communication with various agencies and individuals concerning status of samples
  • Works closely with research & development team to ensure accuracy of samples

Requirements:

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field preferred
  • EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • TRAVEL: 5%
  • OTHER:
    • Submit to and satisfactorily complete pre-employment background, medical, alcohol, and drug screening
    • Must possess a valid Driver’s License
    • Prior experience using ICP equipment
