Lab Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join a leading team in the waste industry. You will be responsible for collecting and testing compounds and samples in accordance with permit requirements, utilizing applied methods and techniques. This role involves supporting laboratory documentation and operations, ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety standards, and handling chemical agents properly. You will also assist with QA/QC analytical screening parameters and operate laboratory testing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and test compounds and samples following permit requirements and company policies.
  • Support laboratory documentation and operations work.
  • Enter quantities, volumes, and analytical results into waste management software (WMS/Preview).
  • Assist with QA/QC analytical screening parameters as dictated by permits.
  • Follow all approved Laboratory SOPs.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety standards, including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemical agents.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment.
  • Perform pipetting, distillation, data analysis, pH testing, and chemical handling.
  • Engage in quality control and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in sciences (no experience required) or Associate degree in science with some laboratory experience.
  • High School Diploma with at least one year of industry or academic laboratory experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication and written skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
