You will serve as the technical resource to Design, Manufacturing, Program Management, Supply Chain, Quality, etc. You will identify, evaluate, and recommend new components for new product development requirements and for improving existing manufacturing process yields. You will have the opportunity to support Commodity Teams as the technical resource and use independent judgment to make decisions in day-to-day job responsibilities under general supervision.

What You Will Do:

  • Understand preferred technologies, sources of supply, and acceptance criteria for multiple commodities.
  • Apply techniques for the documentation and release of components, processes and design guidelines in accordance with department policies.
  • Perform Failure and Root Cause Analysis of moderate complexity and corrective action as needed.
  • Provide technical assistance with: material verification resolution, specification or drawing exceptions, supplier issues, and manufacturing related issues.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend components, materials and/or manufacturers for new product requirements and for improving existing manufacturing process yields.

What You Will Learn:

  • Gain knowledge in Design Engineering community support including design development assistance, interfacing, communication, component application issue resolution, and general question/issue resolution.
  • Learn general technical support including activities associated with Bidding/Negotiating, Data Collection, and Analysis. Report generation related to technical issues including but not limited to; Hazardous Material, fungus, shelf life, ESD, flammability, etc.
  • Actively contributes to and participates in projects as a team member or expert on call.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a Master's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
