Your Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on development and optimization of methods, products and strategies needed to increase the performance of custom or catalog cell culture medium. Your technical skills and scientific knowledge will be broadened from your experience and by learning additional methods from peer, supervisors, seminars and literature.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform cell culture techniques, including media formulation, hydration, and routine mammalian cell culture.
  • Design and conduct scientific experiments autonomously, adapting established procedures and planning further experiments based on data. Present findings to internal project teams.
  • Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and assist in preparing comprehensive project reports.
  • Serve as a Quality or Safety Delegate, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
  • Propose and implement improvements to existing systems, processes, techniques, or programs.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally, exchanging ideas and information concisely and logically while exercising tact and diplomacy.
  • Provide critical input and identify issues within scientific experiments and analyses.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Computational Chemistry, Biochemical Engineering, or other Life Science, Material Science, or Engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years' work experience in a Life Science, Material Science, or Engineering field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with biochemistry, organic chemistry, and/or cellular metabolism.
  • Experience with mammalian cell/tissue culture techniques including thawing, subculturing, and freezing.
  • Experience with identifying and communicating a problem to initiate corrective actions.
  • Experience with working both independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in analytical techniques and method development, experiment design, and statistical analysis.
