Associate Research Scientist (Hochwagen Lab)

The Hochwagen lab is seeking to fill a part-time Associate Research Scientist position for a project on meiotic chromatin structure. Responsibilities may include performing genome-wide analyses of chromatin modifications, nucleosome occupancy, and DNA breakage.

The candidate should have an Ph.D. in some field of biology.

This position is limited to 3 months. In compliance with NYCs Pay Transparency Act the annual base salary range for this position is $34-35/hr for 21 hours per week. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer

Qualifications being sought are (1) coding fluency in R and Bash and (2) working knowledge of Python. In addition, experience performing experiments with budding yeast ( S. cerevisiae ) is required.
