Discover Impactful Work:
As a Scientist II, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative team and will play a critical role in performing Quality Control assays and experiments on molecular biology reagents for global use in research and commercial products in the life sciences industry.
A Day in the Life:
- Qualifying product(s) in a lab setting following standard operating procedures
- Performing various assays which may include the following: PCR, qPCR, Bioanalyzer, HPLC, HPIC, small/medium nucleic acid purification, Polyacrylamide and Agarose Gel Electrophoresis, Cloning and Transformation, FRET, Flow Cytometry and radiation assays.
- Supporting the Radiation Safety Program
- Creating and maintaining specification batch records and other work order documents
- Analyzing data and making detailed observations to ensure product quality
- Initiating and processing problem notifications for deviations and material nonconformance
- Maintaining equipment, product inventories, and related records
Keys to Success:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or research laboratory setting with 1+ year handling radioactive materials, such as Phosphorus-32 (32 P) required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in scientific laboratory techniques and equipment
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and/or GMP manufacturing environment

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $31.73$47.60.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
