Principal Scientist Physics - Drill Bits and Service

Responsibilities:
Under broad direction, applies theories, principles and practices to the research and development of new and improved products, processes and procedures.
Performs routine research and experimentation at the direction of Senior Scientists and Team Leaders.
Document progress in laboratory notebooks, reports, procedures and designs.
Communicates occasionally with Technical Client Personnel.
Responds as directed by Senior Scientist and Team Leaders to customers needs.
Participates in Professional Societies.
Development and maintenance of data output algorithms for electrical measurement sensors
Develop, build, and adjust calibration models for measurement sensors
Ability to analyze large data sets and recognize trends to resolve data integrity issues
Job role contributes directly to value creation.

Qualifications:
Skills typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Science, Engineering or similar discipline, and 7 years of related experience.
Completion of a masters or PHD in Science or Engineering is preferred.
Previous experience in oil and gas industry
Previous experience with directional drilling survey tools and associated data sets
