The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Laboratory Scientist. Position will perform all assigned chemical, biological, and serological laboratory analyses. Responsibilities currently include working with pollen counts, water samples, other environmental samples as well as our STD Clinic within the Health Department and other testing and analysis.

Experience, Education, and Training
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry or related science field;
AND
  • Two years experience working in a laboratory performing analytical work;
  • Directly related work experience can be substituted for the degree on a year for year basis;
PREFERRED
  • Recent experience in a clinical laboratory.

Licensing/Certification
  • If operating motor vehicle, must possess a current driver's license and maintain proper personal insurance coverage.
