Medical Lab Scientist I

Join a leading healthcare diagnostics and drug development company in our

Indianapolis-based central laboratory, specializing in testing and bioanalysis

services. Were looking for a motivated Medical Lab Scientist I to

contribute to long-term projects as part of our Immunology Team .

Key Responsibilities

• Assess specimen acceptability for testing per established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental SOPs.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot lab instrumentation.
• Make technical decisions related to testing and problem-solving.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report timely and accurate test results to ensure quality patient care.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Maintain proper inventory of testing bench supplies.
• Assist in specimen processing as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field.
• At least 1+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• Hands-on experience with LC-MS or MS and pipetting 96-well plates .
• Preferred: ASCP or AMT certification, validation experience, and familiarity with laboratory information systems .
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
• Must pass a standardized color vision screen .
• Flexibility to accommodate overtime or other shifts as needed.

Work Environment

• Location: Indianapolis facility is on the southwest side
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st shift (8 AM - 5 PM)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
