Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories, a nationally recognized laboratory, is searching for a Scientist to support our Professional Scientific Services group in Spring House, PA. This scientist level position will support the Bioassay group. Scientist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following : Perform method development, optimization, validation, and transfer of Bioassays Utilizing automated liquid handlers (i.e. Tecan, Hamilton, etc.) Different assays will be included, but this role is 100% automation work. Immunoassays and PCR analysis Troubleshoot method and instrumentation problems Initiate and perform investigations Develop and execute validation plans Carry out method transfers and feasibility studies Write Test Methods Validation protocols and Reports The ideal candidate would possess : Familiarity with automated liquid handlers (ie. Tecan, Hamilton, etc.) Pipetting skills Cell Culture / aseptic technique ELISA / Immunoassay experience 96-well plate assays Preferred, but not required: Attention to detail / organized Experience working within a regulated environment Ability to work within a fast-paced environment Familiarity with LIMS Knowledge of statistics Good communication skills Self-motivated Basic Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, Chemistry or Biochemistry and approximately 3 years of relevant experience is required Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.
