ResponsibilitiesLaboratory Technician
Primo Brands is seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician with Organic Chemistry experience at our Sacramento facility in California.
The Technician will oversee - 2 GC-MS instruments for EPA 524.2 & 1 GC-MS instrument for EPA 525.2.
Responsibilities:
- Perform experimental and quality control procedures associated with the organics section.
- Maintain instrumentation and analyze samples for the organics section.
- Perform chromatography techniques to support laboratory operations for 3 GC-MS instrumentation.
- Responsible for trouble shooting and instrument maintenance.
- Input all pertinent information for the samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Maintain all pertinent documentation, SOP’s, Quality Control Reports to maintain TNI 2016 standards and certification.
- Maintain all laboratory records (temperatures, logbooks, standards prep etc.) pertinent to organics section.
- Maintain laboratory expendables inventory.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Chemistry or other physical sciences.
- 3-5 years or more of similar experience in environmental laboratory with emphasis on organic extractions and analyses.
- Experience with GC-MS & ICP-MS is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of EPA 525.2 extractions is necessary.
- Familiar utilizing LIMS and other instrument operating software.
- Knowledge of Mass Spectrometry concepts, procedures, and best practices within an environmental laboratory.
- Familiar with analytical chemistry concepts, procedures, practices including EPA Drinking Water Regulations and Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA).
- Knowledge of EPA quality assurance programs and NELAP compliance standards.
- Maintain GLP practices in the laboratory.
- Self-starter, motivated and ability to think critically and train others.
- Multi-tasking and provide help to the team with GC-MS instrumentation techniques.
