The mRNA Senior Research Associate - Vaccines supports the development of Sanofi's next generation mRNA platform by designing and executing experiments targeted toward discovering the next innovations to improve our mRNA platform.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform in vitro assays to determine the protein expression in cultured cells and isolated human immune cells.

  • Determine the effects of exogenous mRNA delivery on cells via Flow cytometry, ELISA, and other techniques as needed

  • Assist with maintenance of both immortalized and primary cell cultures for downstream experiments as needed

  • Conduct decision-quality research, organize, analyze and interpret data, summarize results and prepare technical reports.

  • Prepare scientific presentations and report project progress at internal team meetings and scientific research forums

  • Work in a highly collaborative team to drive overall group objectives forward

About You

  • Earned Bachelor or Master's degree in a related field (e.g. cell or molecular biology, biochemistry, etc.) with at least 3 years of experience in a research laboratory or biopharma / biotech company setting is desirable.

  • Experience working with mRNA and LNP is essential

  • Strong background in cell culture with extensive experience in immunoassays including Immunofluorescent imaging, flow cytometry, ELISA, etc. is needed

  • Desire to learn new techniques and scientific concepts in order to follow the research as it progresses

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to convey key experimental findings to internal stakeholders

  • Well organized with a curious mindset and extreme attention to detail. Strong desire to make an impact

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional, demanding work environment without compromising quality.

  • Understand the sense of urgency and respect project timelines

The salary range for this position is:

$73,500.00 - $106,166.66

All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
