Associate Scientist Overview
The Associate Scientist supports formulation development, physical property testing, performance validation, and competitive product analysis. This role is responsible for executing lab work and analyzing results to inform project decisions. The Associate Scientist works as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team and plays a key role in driving innovation and meeting product development goals. This position involves hands-on lab experimentation, data interpretation, project planning, and adnce to safety protocols. Candidates should be detail-oriented, data-driven, and comfortable in a laboratory environment w safe handling of equipment and chemicals is essential.
Job Duties
-Develops experimental designs and prototype products to meet performance goals
-Reviews and interprets data to propose next steps and strategies
-Collaborates with packaging, process development, and manufacturing teams
-Records detailed lab notes and maintains proper documentation
-Plans project tasks related to lab work, third-party testing, and consumer trials
-Reports progress and issues to the team and management
-Assists with test procedure development and modification
-Conducts chemical, physical, and application testing for evaluation
-Supports lab demonstrations for training and customer visits
-Maintains raw material inventories and lab workspace
-Ensures safe operation of lab equipment and compliance with safety regulations
-Follows all applicable Federal, State, and Local health, safety, and environmental regulations
