We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Chemical Process Technician to join a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with experience in chemical synthesis and bulk chemical handling.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate large-scale chemical reactors (100900 gallons) for organic synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
- Perform chemical processes such as distillations, powder weighing, and material transfers.
- Follow SOPs to execute reactions and maintain accurate batch records.
- Conduct sampling and sample preparation for quality control testing.
- Assist in producing concentrated formulations for pest control applications.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided).
- Participate in a variety of chemical processes, with full training provided over time.
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months to 2+ years of experience in organic chemistry or chemical synthesis.
- 1 to 3+ years of experience handling bulk chemicals.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in a chemical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
Preferred:
- Experience with chemical reactors, distillation, and sample prep.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and GMP environments.
- Knowledge of API manufacturing processes.
