Lead Chemist

Description

We are seeking a hands-on Lead Chemist to support our expanding operations in fuel blending, wastewater treatment, and PCB testing. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with experience in managing lab operations and a strong understanding in analytical instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily lab operations and provide technical oversight

Set up and operate ICP-OES and BTU/chloride instrumentation

Run and analyze samples, ensuring data integrity and accuracy

Enter results into a new electronic data management system

Provide training and mentorship to junior staff

Collaborate across departments to support facility-wide initiatives

Qualifications:

Experience with ICP and BTU/chloride testing equipment

Strong documentation and data entry skills (approx. 1 hour/day)

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Willingness to learn and support other areas of the facility

Prior experience with GC/MS and ICP-OES is a plus

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Open to all laboratory backgrounds, degree not required, 3-5 years of experience preferred

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
