Job DescriptionWe are seeking a scientist with a proven track record of advancing the development of new vaccine projects, specifically focusing on providing comprehensive assistance by conducting reverse-phase liquid chromatography (RP-LC) analysis and dynamic light scattering (DLS) analysis for multiple new vaccine projects
This is an on-site position based in the North York, ON.
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialized support in New Vaccine (NV) and Manufacturing & Supply (M&S) projects that includes method feasibility, development, qualification, validation, transfer as well as support of investigations and process support.
- Analytical Methods:
- Design and execute experiments and feasibility studies for quantitation using HPLC ELSD
- Perform robustness and qualification studies for the development of new vaccines
- Develop and validate analytical methods to support method validation and method transfer activities
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Liaise with vendors for the procurement and maintenance of equipment
- Work closely with technical subject matter experts to refine workflows and troubleshooting protocols
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and progress on project milestones
- Assist in performing instrument troubleshooting and maintenance and repairs
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from experiments and different studies
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations
- Ensure that scientifically sound analytical methods are applied to clinical vaccine release, characterization and stability
- Generate datasets and provide support of licensed products and processes
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency in formulation development
- Stay updated with advancements in analytical methods relevant to vaccine development
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. + 1-2 years of experience or M.S.
- Experience in designing and executing method development, feasibility and validation experiments
- Proven track record of making operations more efficient and maintaining high standards of proficiency and compliance
- Proven track record of well-documenting experiments to provide a foundation for replicating successful strategies, making it easier to scale operations
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative environment
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task several projects
Preferred qualifications
- Proficient on assays with strengths of being a successful SME and trainer
- Proficient with DLS, HPLC, RP-LC and ELSD
