Lab Technician

As a Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of chemical and product samples. You will be responsible for labeling chemicals correctly, calibrating equipment, conducting pH testing, sampling blends, and testing tablets. Your work will culminate in the release of blends for packaging. This involves a day-to-day routine of going into the warehouse to pull samples of powder, labeling them, conducting tests, recording information, and entering it into the ERP system. You will also be tasked with inventorying raw materials, conducting tests, and releasing results.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all steps of routine experimentation, including sample preparation, equipment orientation, instrument control, data processing, and analysis.
  • Accurately maintain and update laboratory databases, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Conduct product performance and field testing.
  • Approve, hold, and reject products based on laboratory analysis versus specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with current regulatory requirements, following GMP guidelines for data reporting.
  • Conduct reexamination of borderline results and research technical literature for process improvements.
  • Handle multiple projects to meet various completion deadlines.
  • Recommend testing parameters and complete experiments as assigned.
  • Provide analytical and technical support for quality-related product investigations.
  • Complete data reviews for out-of-specification test results and issue SPC charts of historical results.
  • Optimize and recommend lab improvements to support 5S initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Laboratory research and chemical testing experience.
  • Understanding of manufacturing environment and quality control processes.
  • Knowledge of chemistry and biology, including pH and UV-Vis testing.
  • Proficiency in sample labeling and laboratory inspection.
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field is preferred but not required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 0-1 years of laboratory experience, with chemical manufacturing being a plus.
  • Experience working in a quality control lab and supporting ISO 9001 regulations is advantageous.
  • Open to candidates with an administrative background interested in starting a career in a lab.
Work Environment

The position offers a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 7 AM to 4 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
