Position Name: Medical Laboratory Scientist Pay rate: $35/hr -$40/hr Location: Clifton, NJ 07012 Duration: 4-month contact with possible extension Shift: Tues-Sat, 12pm-8:30pm Job Description: Medical Laboratory Scientist - Summary of Responsibilities: Perform specimen handling, processing, testing, and reporting in accordance with lab protocols. Ensure accuracy by following quality control procedures and documenting all results and maintenance. Review and release patient test results, including critical values, per established procedures. Adhere to regulatory standards (CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA) and safety protocols. Troubleshoot issues impacting test performance and notify supervisors when necessary. Maintain lab documentation, equipment, and supplies; ensure reagents are properly labeled and stored. Participate in training, audits, inspections, and continuous education. Provide support to clients and team members as needed. Qualifications: BS in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred. 1+ year clinical lab experience with high-complexity testing. ASCP/AMT certification (or eligibility) preferred. Strong computer skills and knowledge of QA/QC practices. Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
