Come join our exceptional Department of Neurobiology, and help lead the advancement of cutting-edge basic science research into explorations of the brain and central nervous system. In this Laboratory Technician (Staff Research Associate 1) position youll provide support to the Principal Investigator, and will work on peripheral nerve injury-based research projects. In this role you will assist in drug delivery and survival surgeries for mouse injury models, and will participate in experimental analyses including tissue sectioning, immunohistochemistry, quantitation and immunoblotting.

Required:
- BS or BA in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology or equivalent training/experience.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to maintain complete and accurate records, and work with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational abilities, including the ability to organize and present results in an appropriate format.
- Ability to handle mice, assist on nerve crush surgeries, and suture mice after surgeries.
- Ability to dissect mouse tissue, including peripheral nerves.
- Experience in tissue processing including cryosectioning and immunohistochemistry.
- Experience in confocal microscopy.
- Familiarity with developmental biology and peripheral nerve injury literature.
Preferred:
- At least one year of research experience in a developmental neuroscience laboratory.
- Experience in designing AAV vectors for use in postnatal mice.
