Job Description

  • Drive and manage supplier performance with focus on quality, delivery, cost, and technical support.

  • Analyze supplier capacity and investment needs.

  • Identify and resolve production and process issues at supplier sites.

  • Provide technical assistance to underperforming suppliers.

  • Promote a zero-tolerance approach to supplier disruptions affecting operations or customer satisfaction.

  • Support supply chain resiliency and potential supplier resourcing initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with internal and global teams for knowledge sharing and best practices.

  • Respond to supplier delivery crises to maintain continuous parts supply.

  • Ensure supplier operational excellence and develop corrective action plans.

  • Apply problem-solving techniques and lessons learned tailored to each supplier issue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and correct supplier production system weaknesses.

  • Monitor and mitigate high-risk supplier issues.

  • Lead and implement sustainable solutions for abnormal production processes.

  • Support all product lifecycle phases, from start of production to aftermarket.

  • Represent purchasing and supplier development functions at supplier sites.

  • Escalate issues as necessary to prevent disruptions in operations.

  • Adhere to corporate processes, codes of conduct, and operational guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Management).

  • Experience in supply chain, supplier quality/development, or production.

  • Strong background in manufacturing engineering, supplier crisis management, or operational troubleshooting.

  • Strong sense of urgency, commitment, and accountability.

  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective in handling uncertainty and resolving unfamiliar challenges.

  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.

  • Ability to give actionable feedback and drive supplier performance.

  • Customer-focused with a commitment to internal and external satisfaction.

  • Preparedness to travel frequently and on short notice.
