EMSL is currently seeking a Full Time Laboratory Analyst (Metals/Lead) in Orlando, FL. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees. Experienced analysts are welcomed to apply.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Preparation and digestion of environmental lead samples: paint, soil, wipes and cassettes by Flame AAPreparation and analysis of samples using ICP-OES Laboratory work environment requires care when handling acids, solvents, and other reagents Generate analytical reports and enter data into the LIMS system Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as neededPerform quality control practices per company Quality Assurance/Quality Control manualAdministrative duties including sample login and data entry, scanning and emailing reports and answering phonesOther responsibilities as deemed necessary by the managerRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related science is requiredAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship0 to 1 years' experience working in a lab setting with FLAA and/or ICP is a plus but not required Ability to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitudeEffective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistanceAvailable Shift: Position is full time, Monday to Friday 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Training Shift to start will be Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Orlando, FL are encouraged to applyEMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and a flexible spending accountTo find out more about EMSL Analytical, Inc. please visit our website at: www.emsl.com EOE including Veterans and Disabled
