Senior Systems Development Engineer IAM, Retail and Back Office Technology and Support

We're seeking a Systems Development Engineer specializing in Identity and Access Management (IAM) to build and maintain enterprise identity solutions. As an engineer, you'll implement complex IAM solutions, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate with teams to deliver secure and scalable identity services.

Key job responsibilities
1. Technical Development & Implementation
- Design and implement IAM solutions following established architectural patterns
- Build and maintain authentication and authorization systems
- Develop and enhance identity management workflows
- Create automated deployment pipelines for IAM infrastructure
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement solutions

2. Security Implementation
- Implement security controls and access management solutions
- Maintain and enhance security monitoring systems
- Contribute to security assessments and remediation efforts
- Implement and maintain compliance controls

3. Systems Engineering
- Deploy and maintain IAM infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions
- Optimize system performance and reliability
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response

4. Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with other security engineering teams to integrate IAM solutions
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
- Share knowledge and best practices with team members

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with distributed systems at scale

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
