WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:

As a Fertilizer Market Research Associate, you would be part of this fast-growing team, supporting both the Green Markets Lead Analyst and the BI Fertilizer Industry Analyst. You will be responsible for generating original fertilizer market intelligence through primary research of fertilizer market participants. You will work with the Green Markets lead analyst to produce weekly market reports, taking a lead role in ensuring timely, accurate reporting. In your work with the BI Fertilizer Industry Analyst you will play a pivotal role in generating insights, constructing data analysis and applying BI systems including sophisticated AI to contribute to, and publish, BI research.
WE'LL TRUST YOU TO
- Manage and further develop a proprietary network to source fertilizer prices and market sentiment.
- Work within a pricing discovery process provided to you by Bloomberg that includes use of a source and pricing data tracking tool to organize data and provide transparency of network/source feedback.
- Operate within established ethical guidelines to be provided.
- Obtain current market prices and provide written market sentiment narrative on fertilizer products.
- Submit short-format articles of fertilizer industry news for publication following established processes, formats and style.
- Work with production team to serve as production lead for Green Markets weekly market reporting.
- Actively contribute to BIs research activities (i.e. data, written research, idea generation). Research projects may vary in complexity and scope.
- Pull, clean, and organize large sets of data using Excel, ensuring accuracy and consistency despite potential imperfections in the raw data.
- Continuously assess the quality of data, identifying potential errors and inconsistencies; proactively determine whether the data make sense for its purpose.
- Develop and manage relationships with internal departments throughout Bloomberg as well as external users.
- Synthesize the results of your data analysis and develop concise narratives that communicate the story behind the data.
- Work with other data and core business groups to help develop and improve content and functionality across the terminal.
- Interact with clients via our online messaging systems. - Participate in department-wide special projects.

YOU NEED TO HAVE

- Graduated with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a degree in finance, mathematics, economics or a similar field with a heavy emphasis on computer programming preferred.
- At least two years of research experience with genuine curiosity about developing a career in research.
- Proficiency in Excel for handling large datasets, cleaning data, and performing complex analyses.
- The ability to spot anomalies in financial data, think critically about what the data is telling you and identify when something doesn't align or make sense.
- Excellent communication and a track record of collaboration with a team.
- High attention to detail and demonstrable research and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills and capable of handling multiple projects.
- An ability to meet deadlines, logically tackle problems and set priorities.
- A commitment to enhancing and developing products.

WE'D LOVE TO SEE

- Fertilizer or broader agriculture industry experience
- Progress toward or achievement of CFA designation
- A Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, MBA, or related discipline

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
