Environmental Scientist

Job Title: Environmental Scientist (part-time) position at Trihydro Corporation

Location: San Luis Obispo, California

Job Summary:
Trihydro is seeking an Environmental Scientist to support environmental planning, compliance, and permitting services across various client portfolios spanning multiple market sectors including oil and gas, utilities, energy, and government. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a working understanding of federal and state environmental policies and regulations, with a particular emphasis on the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and Endangered Species Act (ESA). This role necessitates a highly motivated, self-directed individual with strong technical writing skills capable of supporting a wide array of environmental planning tasks.

This is a part-time, non-benefited position with flexible hours.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in environmental science, Environmental Planning, Biology, Engineering, or related field.
• Understanding of federal and state environmental regulations, particularly CEQA, NEPA, CWA, and ESA.
• Strong technical writing skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
• Entry level experience in environmental planning, compliance, and permitting processes or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in conducting research and interpreting regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously.

The salary information shown below is a general guideline ONLY. Salaries are based on candidates' experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $20 per hour
