About the Role:
- The Application Technology R&D group is seeking an Application Technology Laboratory Technician.
- This role is crucial in supporting the development of new crop protection products by conducting experiments to evaluate product performance.
- The position involves characterizing physical properties, assessing lab-scale application tests, evaluating material compatibility, and studying active ingredient delivery profiles.
- The successful candidate will collaborate with application scientists and engineers to execute lab-based experiments that aid in product development and launch assessments.
- The role is based in Indianapolis.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate and execute application, material compatibility, and product characterization studies.
- Conduct high-throughput HPLC chemical assay studies.
- Perform surface tensiometry and droplet characterization studies. - Manage a variety of ongoing studies.
- Collaborate with application scientists to meet peer review deadlines.
- Conduct physical and chemical characterization testing on formulated products as needed.
- Provide detailed observations during experiments and suggest improvements.
- Organize and summarize data across multiple projects.
- Partner with analytical scientists for sample assay submission.
- Create and update SOPs for methodologies and techniques.
- Champion safety and laboratory best practices.
Education Qualification
- B.S./M.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or Chemical Engineering with 2-3 years of experience.
Payrate: $21-23/hr
