Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriateDemonstrates and promotes the company visionRegular attendance and punctualityEnsure that the quality policy program is understood, implemented, and maintained at all levels of the organization; identify, prevent, or correct any departures from the quality systemAssist in setting yearly cost and profit goalsHelp staff develop their potential through training and team buildingPlan and organize work flow for efficient operationsPerform analytical work as requiredSupervise personnel; responsible for the direct management of Group Leader(s) and some non-leadership employees of the departmentsPrepare and carry out performance appraisals of staffMaintain technical competence in areas of oversightCommunicate company policies to staffMaintain quality assurance program in the departmentMaintain and promote safety programService clients through telephone contact, letters, reports, etc.Oversee maintenance and repair of instrumentation and equipmentInterview prospective employees and recommend hire; recommend termination for employees with unacceptable performanceMaintain client confidentialityProvide written reports to management as requiredDemonstrate commitment to quality through the application of quality principles (conformance to requirements, prevention, the zero defect standard, and participation in corrective action work groups)Perform all functions in support of and in compliance with all state and federal employment regulationsUtilize PC applications (word processing, spreadsheet, database) to improve productivityAssist in developing new markets for analytical servicesConducts all activities in a safe and efficient mannerPerforms other duties as assigned Role is 1st shift, full-time. QualificationsBasic Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related fieldPrevious leadership experience in a technical or lab settingPrevious experience working in a lab settingProficiency working with computersPrevious experience working in a related laboratory settingAuthorization to work in the US without restriction or sponsorshipIdeal Candidates will have: 3-5 years of Technical Supervision experienceProficiency with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Certification in air quality testing methods and/OR strong GC/MS experience Project Management Certification Laboratory Safety Certification Demonstrated leadership and team building skills Continuing education in management Strong problem solving skills and ability to suggest method modifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to organize work flow and communicate clearly and concisely;Ability to manage the work of other personnel and interact well with staff, colleagues, managers, and clients;Ability to motivate the team to excel technically and as a supervisorAbility to plan for the future and have a vision for the teamPositive attitude toward quality control and safety proceduresAbility to multitask, as well as handle stress and a busy schedule Additional InformationProfessional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.As a Eurofins employee, you will become part of a company that has received national recognition as a great place to work.
