About the Position:

• Job Title: Quality Control Technician

• Location: West Sacramento, CA

• Eligible for Hybrid Work: No

Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical and mechanical test on products

• Visually inspect product for flaws and defects

• Accurately record test data and inspection finding in logs, spreadsheets or other quality software system

• Adhere to standard operating procedure (SOPs) and quality stands during testing

• Operate lab equipment such as torque tester, calipers, seal testers and other lab instruments

• Keep testing stations and tools clean, organized and in proper working order

• Follow safety guidelines with handling equipment and materials

Qualifications:

• Educational requirements

• High School diploma

• Preferred some college education

• Relevant experience

• 0-2 years of experience in a quality control, inspection or manufacturing environment

• Familiarity with product testing, quality assurance or packing inspection

• Skills and competencies

• Ability to use measuring tools

• Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and observations

• Basic computer literacy (e.g., Excel, data entry, QC software)

• Be able to read technical documents, SOPs and product specifications

• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks

• Clear written communication for reporting test results and discrepancies and verbal communication skills for working with supervisors and team members

• Teamwork and collaboration

• Reliability and strong work ethic

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures or equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to ISO or GMP environments

• Prior experience in quality inspection, product testing, or a manufacturing setting

• Experience using lab or QC equipment

• Understanding of statistical analysis

Salary Range: This position is a Level 1 at Origin Materials. The pay range for this position level at Origin Materials is $16.50 -$22.00/hr. This range is not necessarily a guarantee of actual compensation that may be earned nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific employee, which is always dependent on relevant experience, education and other factors.
