- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related science.
- At least 2 years of experience in ICP-MS and metal screening.
- Experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting ICP instrumentation.
- Ability to analyze and produce data packages for various data sets.
- Skilled in analytical and extraction method troubleshooting and development.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation such as ICP-MS.
- Provide accurate and timely analytical services to clients.
- Perform simple and complex analyses for various sample types.
- Propose process improvements and stabilize analytical processes.
- Conduct extractions and sample analysis per SOPs.
- Troubleshoot analytical procedures and perform maintenance on instruments.
- Screen, quantify, and report analytical results.
- Expertise in inorganic chemistry and metal screening.
- Proficient in operating ICP, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, ICP-AES, and HPLC.
- Experience with Agilent and Masshunter software.
- Strong skills in maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical instruments.
- Competence in sample preparation, extraction, and bench chemistry.
- Familiarity with pH meters, centrifuges, and pipettes.
- Knowledge in analytical chemistry, sample analysis, and data analysis.
The role is based in a fast-paced analytical laboratory with a schedule of 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. You will be part of a team of six chemists. The lab offers designated free parking downtown.
