Associate Scientist
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA
Job Summary:
The Associate Scientist will be an integral part of our client's In Vivo Pharmacology Team within the Oncology Therapeutic Area.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the In Vivo Pharmacology Team in the Oncology Therapeutic Area.
Perform procedures on laboratory rodents including handling, dosing, clinical health assessments, and biologic sample collection.
Assist with in vivo research models for various programs.
Ensure compliance with all applicable SOPs, business practices, and company policies.
Skills Required:
Bachelor's degree in related field and 3+ years of laboratory-based research experience in academic or industrial labs.
Experience handling and performing basic manipulations with laboratory rodents.
Experience with rodent dosing via multiple routes (oral gavage preferred).
Familiarity with oncology disease models.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated technical aptitude, strong work ethic, and excellent attention to detail.
Organizational and notebook/record keeping skills.
Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative and dynamic research environment.
Computer literacy, e.g., GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
