Evening and Midnight Coverage is required as needed Position Summary Primary responsibility is to perform careful and accurate scientific work using a variety of manual and automated procedures, while consistently maintaining compliance with all current regulatory agencies. The performance of EKG's, arterial, capillary and venipuncture phlebotomy is required. Accurate problem solving and judgement in high-pressure situations is required. Providing good customer service to patients, families, visitors, and physicians is also required. Education: Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science Certification: Certified by a nationally recognized credentialing agency for Medical Laboratory Science, MLS (ASCP), MLS (AMT) or MLS (ASCPI) Experience: None required, must pass Certification exam within 1 year of hire. Skills Adapts well to change and maintain a positive attitude. Teamwork- Contributes to the positive morale of the department through attitude and actions. Prioritizes tasks and is able to multi-task. Ability to use complex medical equipment Strong analytical thinking skills Detail orientated Work Environment/Physical Demands: The ideal candidate must be able to work and complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Demonstrates the ability to work accurately and effectively in oral and written directions and communication. Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
