Biology Laboratory Technician I (10 month)
Job Responsibilities
The Department of Agricultural and Biological Sciences at Truman State University is seeking candidates for Biology Laboratory Technician I. This is a ten month, benefits eligible position that works August through May annually.
Preparation of labs for cell biology, genetics, physiology, and microbiology.
General laboratory duties including media preparation.
General laboratory organization, set-up, and take-down.
Overseeing student workers.
Communicating with faculty, staff, and students.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Associate's degree in biological sciences or a closely related field.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple and varied tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in biological sciences or a closely related field.
Two years of responsible experience in a laboratory setting.
Supervisory experience.
Work experience in a University or office setting.
