Job Summary: Data Scientist, Lam Research Corporation, Tualatin, OR. Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse 'big data' sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement. Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments. Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Master's degree in Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics or a related field plus two (2) years of experience as a data scientist.
Must have 1 year experience in Python.
Must have 1 year of experience in 4 of the following: regression models, Bayes' theorem, unsupervised learning, hypothesis testing and confidence intervals, time series, principal component analysis, dimensionality reduction, classification, regression, feature engineering, and data cleaning.
Must have 1 year of experience in 1 of the following: Systems optimization, state observer construction, virtual sensor engineering, or reliability modeling.
