Responsibilities:

This position provides technical support, primarily related to PFAS, on environmental characterization and remediation projects and proposals for federal, state, commercial and industrial clients. The candidate may be responsible for planning, execution, and task management of complex projects. This position requires the ability to evaluate chemical distribution and transport through soils, groundwater, surface water, and sediment to reach sound technical conclusions and present/document findings in project reports using text, figures, graphs, etc
Conduct bench scale to full scale treatability studies
Support Design of technology driven remediation projects
Support assessment and feasibility evaluations of environmental media
Support oversight of construction, operation and maintenance (O&M) and report writing.
Manage electronic data and assist in data interpretation and evaluation
Support project and program team goals and work in a collaborative manner with others
Interface with clients and represent Tetra Tech in all professional collaborations

This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or advanced degree in Chemical, Environmental or Similar related fields.
A minimum of 5 years of experience is preferred.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed to project sites, estimated at approximately 10-20%.
40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is preferred. Other OSHA training is desirable.
Must possess a valid U.S. drivers License in good standing.
Consulting experience is preferred.
Computer Modelling and/or electronic data management and evaluation skills are preferred

Successful candidate may support field investigations that could potentially require the following: Performing strenuous fieldwork under a variety of site and adverse weather conditions; position and move to facilitate operation of the equipment and collecting samples; moving earth via shovels or hand augers; lifting of pumps, other remediation equipment, cases containing equipment, sample coolers and other items weighing between 1 and 50 pounds; and potential exposure to natural, physical and chemical hazards. Ability to perform and maintain rigorous detailed documentation of field activities. Field work often involves extended hours on site.

The work environment will vary from typical office work to occasional field work such as supporting environmental media sampling, oversight of construction of remedial technology systems for pilot tests, and full scall implementation.

Language & Communication Skills: Candidate should be able to present the results of work to clients, stakeholders and or present at professional meetings and conferences so that others will understand. Candidate must be able to prepare work schedules, documents including tables, figures and support computerized data visualization materials.

Other Skills: Instructions: Candidate should possess strong organizational skills, excellent self-start/leadership skills, and be client focused. Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). Other modelling and data management capabilities and experience is preferred.
