Job Title: Quality Control Chemist
Job Description
Perform various analytical instrumentation testing to support finished products and raw materials testing in a regulated environment. Master the ability to use all laboratory equipment and the principles behind the instrumentation, as well as wet chemistry testing following USP methodologies. A firm understanding of the Stability Program and the organization QMS Program is essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing as assigned and manage the retrieval, testing, and documentation of monthly samples within the Stability Program.
- Pull and log in stability receipts, and enter data accurately.
- Master the ability to perform wet chemistry testing following USP methodologies.
- Possess a firm understanding of departmental projects and manage tactical steps to plan, organize, and move projects independently.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with 1-3 years of relevant job experience, preferably in the cosmetic/pharmaceutical OTC industry.
- Master's degree in Chemistry with 0-1 years of experience, preferably in the cosmetic/pharmaceutical OTC industry.
- Experience with Assay and Organic Impurities (HPLC, GC), Residual Solvents, and titrations.
- Proficiency in analytical chemistry, quality control, and pharmaceutical or cosmetic industry practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of HPLC, GC, and titration techniques.
- Experience in assay testing.
Work Environment
The position operates on a 2nd shift schedule, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, within a QC Lab. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
