Process Engineer - Industrial Water/Wastewater

Kennedy Jenks is expanding our Industrial Engineering team! We're seeking civil, chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineers with consulting experience and a strong background in design delivery. You'll work with leading clients in manufacturing, mining, aerospace, food & beverage, pulp & paper, and high-tech-supporting projects from planning through design, construction, and startup. Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of water, wastewater, and process infrastructure projects for industrial clients.
- Prepare technical documents, including engineering calculations, design drawings, and specifications.
- Perform process evaluations and develop design solutions such as system sizing, water and mass balances, and equipment selection.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality projects on time and within budget.
- Support project management tasks such as scope definition, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Participate in client meetings, proposal development, and business development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a consulting environment supporting industrial water and wastewater projects.
- Depending on years of experience, Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (or must have the ability to obtain your EIT within one-year of employment), or Professional Engineer license is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in design delivery, including familiarity with design standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Business development or client relationship experience is a plus, but not required.
- Travel to client and project sites for client visits/meetings and other travel to other Kennedy Jenks offices will be necessary.

The salary range for this position is anticipated to be $95,000 to $120,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.
