3rd Shift Quality Control Technician

3rd SHIFT QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

Summary:

Accountable for all aspects of the company's Food Safety & Quality Management System and Regulatory compliance with in-plant food safety and product quality checks on raw material, finished product, production environment, and general employee conduct while on shift.

Basic Functions:

• Warehouse and multiple production line inspections/audits/inventories
• Product analysis
• Sanitation/Room Wash Verification and Environmental Swabs
• Pest Control Verification
• HACCP and other verifications
• On-Site Quality Program maintenance and review
• Documentation control for site
• Employee Training/Orientation
• Back Up for other QA/QC Team members responsibilities
• Assist all departments with troubleshooting day-to-day quality problems in processing and packaging areas
• Assistance to the QA Supervisor regarding any special needs that may arise
• Perform other tasks which may not be reoccurring

Qualifications:

• High School diploma/GED required
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to speak and write in English
• Exhibits a positive and professional attitude
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
• Training and knowledge of HACCP, cGMP, GFSI
• Proficient in organizational and time management skills

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting up to 50 lbs. as a single person lift
• Climbing (ladders, stairs, etc.)
• Bending and stooping
• Extended period of being on your feet
• Available for overtime and weekend work
• Occasional travel between facilities.

This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position (base pay range = $21.50/hour) with benefits package that includes paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k retirement plan with employer match, employee assistance program, employer gift-matching program, wellness program, and company-paid holidays.
