The successful candidate will work in a group providing research support in target validation, target distribution, animal model development, pharmacology, and exploratory safety studies. Being detailed oriented is critical to this role. Specific activities will include routine histology (e.g., tissue trimming, tissue processing, embedding, and sectioning of paraffin embedded and frozen tissues), routine and special histochemical staining and immunohistochemistry (IHC). Additional tasks include using computer-based laboratory tracking system (Sample Manager), Dream Path, and a willingness to get creative when working with novel tissues or challenging pathology endpoints. The candidate must independently schedule and prioritize workload to manage several tasks.
