Associate Scientist
Location : Tarrytown, NY
Schedule / Hours : Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, Onsite
Type : Contract
Compensation : $38 - $45 hourly

Responsibilities

• Conducting basic laboratory work including pipetting, culturing, and qPCR
• Working with automated systems including robotic liquid handlers
• Working with a LIMS database
• Maintaining the laboratory and laboratory equipment as needed
• Analyzing experimental data and assessing quality
• Nucleic Acid isolation and purification
• Sanger DNA Sequencing, Cloning, Gene Expression and Genotyping
• Contribute to technology development by conducting experiments, leading to process improvements

Requirements

• BS / MS in Chemical Biology, Biochemistry or a related field
• 0 - 2+ years of relevant research experience
• Must have hands-on experience with various molecular biology techniques including qPCR, molecular cloning, etc.
• Experience with liquid handlers is strongly preferred
• Must have extensive hands-on experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to analyze data and can provide input on next steps
