QC Laboratory Technician

Job Description

The QC Laboratory Technician is responsible for executing core Quality Control processes associated with reagent consumable and bioassay production, reagent stability programs, and controlled storage monitoring. The role involves assisting with incoming quality control, departmental calibration and maintenance, and the retention program. The technician will maintain QC laboratory supplies, prepare internal use laboratory reagents, and ensure the integrity and cleanliness of QC work and storage areas. Additionally, the technician will participate in QC processes related to test method development, product development, and equipment/method validations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute core Quality Control processes for reagent consumable and bioassay production.
  • Monitor reagent stability programs and controlled storage.
  • Assist with incoming quality control and departmental calibration and maintenance.
  • Maintain QC laboratory supplies and prepare internal use laboratory reagents.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and integrity of QC work and storage areas.
  • Participate in test method development, product development, and equipment/method validations.
  • Interface frequently with departments such as Quality Assurance, Reagent Manufacturing, Design Transfer, Process Engineering, Production Planning, and Purchasing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, or Microbiology.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in a Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Medical Technology related industry.
  • Experience in biological testing preferred.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
