Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Evaluates the chemical and physical properties of various substancesFollows the instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobResponsible for routine chemical analysis work and reviewing involving pharmaceutical raw materials, process intermediates and finished products following GMPsPrepares volumetric test solutions and mobile phasesUtilizes knowledge of High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), and titration techniques.Calculates, interprets and review test results. Prepare test reports and review lab notebooksMaintains appropriate documentation (records and lab notebooks) as required by SOP's and cGLP's.Performs OOS investigations as described in the SOPs to establish integrity of data (Phase I)Operates, maintains, calibrates and qualifies equipment in assigned areasResponsible for laboratory housekeeping, changing waste containers, and gas cylinders. (And washing of glassware.)Disposes waste according to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and transfer of gas cylindersAssists the Chemist in their duties when requested.Follows laboratory safety rulesOther duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Science discipline and/or equivalent work experience1 - 3 years' experience in a laboratoryBilingual (English and Spanish) preferredBasic use of Excel, Word and quality management systems.Knowledge of lab equipment (HPLC, ICP-MS, GC, UV, FT NIRBasic math skillsKnowledge in GMPs and Safety practicesKnowledge of GLP practices.Availability to work rotating or night shifts.Commitment to good cleaning, safety, and documentation practices

Other: Work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm
