The Position
As a Sr. Scientist Ops you will supervise a small work group performing direct manufacturing activities such as formulation of Oligo Reagents, enzyme Reagents, Oligo Pools, Buffer solutions, and HPLC eluent solutions by following detailed instructions outlined in production batch records and SOPs.
You will provide guidance to new team members and leads internal/external teams and builds professional relationships. Work involves troubleshooting and resolving difficult problems in creative ways. Takes a new perspective on existing solutions, exploring and implementing new concepts and methodologies.
The Opportunity
Designs, plans and executes assigned production activities, research and/or development-related experiments/projects utilizing established batch records, or innovative procedures, and applying scientific knowledge and accumulated experience to complete projects. Contributes to the definition and timely achievement of overall project goals.
Makes recommendations, and when appropriate, acts independently to resolve scientific problems encountered during experimental procedures to improve productivity of results. Ensures activities are consistent with project critical path, and responds appropriately to changing priorities or schedules.
Accurately and consistently records production work or experimental methods, materials and results in production records, hard copy or electronic laboratory notebooks. Analyzes data, evaluates results, forms conclusions and implements/documents process improvements.
Integrates previous and current results to determine next experimental steps and the impact of long-range project goals.
Presents findings at group or departmental meetings. Applies advanced technical writing skills to produce reports and documents. May assist in preparing summaries, memos, internal reports, presentations, manuscripts, etc.
Resolves scheduling conflicts and production issues in order to meet production and replenishment demands. Leads project-based activities (e.g. new product transfers product validation activities) to support departmental and company goals.
Who You Are
You have a Bachelor's Degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
You have 2-5 years of experience. Prior supervision experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to design and execute relevant laboratory experimentation.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in small group settings.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Branchburg, NJ is 73,300.00 - 136,100.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below. Benefits
