Associate Scientist, Process Development

Location: Cambridge, MA

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and innovative Associate Scientist to join their Process Development team. This role is integral to our client's mission of delivering high-quality protein pharmaceutical products.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with partner functional areas to support product and process characterization studies, data analysis, and investigations.

Analyze protein pharmaceutical products using advanced analytical methods such as capillary electrophoresis, chromatography, and mass spectrometry techniques.

Lead or contribute to the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of analytical methods.

Participate in qualification, transfer, and validation experiments with a focus on separation-based purity methods.

Maintain electronic notebook records of experimental data, participate in authoring technical protocols and reports, and present results in internal meetings.

Run LC and capillary-based assays routinely to support program delivery and analyze, document, and present the dataset for discussions.

Skills Required:

Bachelors degree and 3+ years of Scientific experience OR Masters degree and 1+ year of Scientific experience.

Bachelor or Master in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biophysics, or closely related field preferred.

Experience in industrial analytical laboratories supporting analysis and characterization of protein therapeutics.

Technical expertise in analytical methodologies used to characterize protein therapeutics including CE-SDS, cIEF/icIEF, HIC, SEC, IEX, RP, and HILIC.

Experience with CE and LC instruments handling and troubleshooting.

Experience with CE and LC operation and data analysis software.

Familiarity with electronic lab notebook (ELN).
