What youll do

Researches and develops ground-breaking technologies.

Steers and facilitates knowledge sharing and supports project teams in solving problems.

Secures IP position in own area of development.

Contributes actively in scientific publications and forums with papers and presentations.

Identifies opportunities for new technology, products or performance improvements.

Leads one or multiple R D projects critical to business.

Identifies and engages valuable external partners.

Traveling of up to 20% can be part of this role.

What makes you a good fit

Ph.D with 5-10 years industrial experience in a chemistry, chemical engineering or material sciences with deep knowledge of polymer chemistry, surface science, and coating formulation.

Formulation Skills: Proven ability to formulate and troubleshoot various coating systems (e.g., architectural, industrial, automotive).

Analytical Skills: Proficiency with analytical and testing instruments relevant to coating evaluation.

Project Management: Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills; experience managing multiple R D projects.

Innovation: Strong creativity and problem-solving mindset; ability to develop new technologies or processes.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting and cross-functional collaboration.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with REACH, RoHS, VOC limits, product registration and other relevant environmental and safety regulations.

The salary for this role is 115,000.00 - $135,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
