The Staff Research Associate I (SRA I) position will entail an extensive amount of tissue culture work, including maintenance of human cancer cell lines as well as cell proliferation assays. The SRA I will assist in preparation, management and daily use of critical laboratory resources including frozen tumor tissue and cell line stocks. Additional duties include the cataloging and management of data received from experiments using relational computer database. They will also perform isolation of biological materials (DNA, RNA, and protein) and generation of western and northern blots.
Salary Range: $26.52 - $31.63 Hourly

Required:
- Experience in Biology, Microbiology or related area.
- Ability to Maintain proper usage of laboratory equipment
- Experience in culture tissue procedures
- Ability to perform gel electrophoresis
- Skills in using computer and Excel software
- Ability to organize raw data into relevant formats.
- Ability to communicate well, work in a team environment organized and must be able to keep detailed notebook.
Preferred:
- Experience working with mouse xenograft models of cancer
- Experience monitoring of drug efficacy and toxicity of novel anti-cancer compounds.
- Experience in tissue culture, cell maintenance type work as well as cell proliferations assays.
- Experience with both two and three dimensional drug response assays
- Skills in isolation of biological materials, (DNA, RNA and Protein) from precious human tissues and cell lines as well as the cataloging and management of resources using relational computer database
