Research and Development Engineer

Pay: $55/hr.

Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Process Development, Operations) to execute tailored product integration plans.
• Independently plan and manage work schedule to meet project timelines.
• Ensure design documentation complies with relevant quality system requirements.
• Analyze Design History Files (DHFs) to identify and address compliance gaps.
• Conduct and coordinate standard engineering tests and experiments; guide and support test technicians.
• Summarize and report test results to the technical team.
• Support manufacturing in troubleshooting product and process-related issues.
• Work closely with multiple departments to ensure overall project success.
• Travel up to 10% to Irvine, CA may be required with prior notice.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience with a BS in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred.
• Background in medical device design and/or manufacturing processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and creative problem-solving skills.
• Experience with design verification testing, reporting, and basic statistical analysis.
• Independent, self-motivated thinker with strong communication skills and familiarity with risk-based design controls.
