Job Description

The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for inspecting incoming raw materials related to Disposables and Electronics, as well as finished products. The role involves documenting non-conformances, assisting with investigations into customer complaints and internal issues, and adhering to QSR, ISO, and internal guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Review processes to ensure procedural compliance and recommend improvements.
  • Perform and review visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming raw materials pertaining to Disposables and Electronics.
  • Identify key inspection points and utilize proper tools/equipment to evaluate these points.
  • Conduct inspections and verification of finished products.
  • Review inspection data and DHRs, including sterilization records, for accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Process Returned Goods/Materials (RGAs/RMAs) through inspection.
  • Use recognized sampling plans to determine statistical size of samples.
  • Perform and review tests according to various GMP protocol requirements.
  • Document and review inspection results per GMP/GDP.
  • Generate non-conforming material reports (NCMR) for products that do not meet test specifications and communicate with appropriate personnel.
  • Communicate department/company needs to management.
  • Assist engineering staff with process improvement projects related to quality inspection of product and components, including First Article Inspections and qualification testing.
  • Work in all QA areas (IQC, Finals, and Electronics) as needed.
Essential Skills
  • High School graduate or equivalent work-related experience with a minimum of 5 years in quality control.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, vision systems, optical comparators, and OGP Smart systems.
  • Detail-oriented and computer literate, capable of working independently.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English, with good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, and procedures.
  • Experience with medical devices is preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with In-Process Inspection.
  • Capability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Skills in visual and dimensional testing, including leak, stress, punch/pull tests.
  • Experience with Non-Conformants (NCMR's) and DHR processes.
  • Familiarity with JD or ERP for documentation.
  • Ability to work overtime on Fridays.
  • Experience with pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical testing.
Work Environment

The work environment involves a clean room setting, with a schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. The role may require working overtime on Fridays. The technician will utilize various technologies and equipment for testing and inspection purposes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $21.00/hr.
