Job Description This is a full-time remote position that can be located anywhere in the U.S. Must be willing to work PST timezone from 8am to 5pm.
Enterprise Business Technology is on a mission to support and create enterprise software for our organization. We're a highly collaborative team that interlocks with corporate functions such as Finance and Product teams to deliver value with innovative technology solutions. Each day, thousands of people rely on Enlyte's technology and services to help their customers during challenging life events. We're looking for a remote Principal Software Development Engineer that can lead our financial data platform development team who enable revenue capture and our clients’ reporting needs. You’ll serve as a lead engineer dedicated to crafting software and data solutions using cutting edge low-code technology with Outsystems, SQL, and Python.
Opportunity:
- You’ll be joining our Cloud Billing and Analytics team which is responsible for mission critical order-to-cash, billing and data engineering processes for our financial data platform
- You will help maximize Low Code adoption in our organization while being an expert at Python and SQL to help us quickly bring high quality solutions to life associated to our financial data systems
- You will lead a team of engineers to make sure we facilitate high volume transaction processing, develop new solutions with low code, maintain a data platform for financial reporting, and handle incidents that arise on the job.
- You will work closely with our Product Owners and Stakeholders to develop robust solutions that are battle tested and production worthy
- You will help us bring AI to life in our corporate financial space by utilizing LLM’s and agentic solutions
Responsibilities:
- Lead our hybrid team (onshore / offshore) building data pipelines and developing low code interfaces using Outsystems so we can process data and answer critical business questions with analytics
- Design technical solutions and lead the dev team via code reviews
- Write excellent Python code using OOP and best practices
- Manage P1 and P2 incidents associated with our team’s platform
- Contribute to our low code strategy across the organization
- Contribute to our strategy for new data pipelines, data engineering approaches and low code strategy
- Participate in helping our organization adopt Artificial Intelligence by leveraging LLM’s, RAG and Agentic solutions into our financial data systems
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer or Data Engineer
- 4+ years of leading development teams
- 2+ years of experience in Low Code systems
- Experience with LLM’s and AI tooling
- Deep knowledge of SQL
- Very Strong experience with PostgreSQL and Snowflake
- Strong Experience in Low Code tools such as Outsystems
- Strong Python experience with pandas/polars/duckdb, dbt, and dagster or airflow
- Experience with AWS via SQS, Lambda functions, VPC’s, EC2 containers is required
- Experience with practical use of LLM’s or Agentic AI
- Some experience with Netsuite and Salesforce is a plus but not required
- Some experience with Oracle and .NET is a plus but not required
- Bachelor’s degree is required in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- Master’s degree is required in either Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering or Data Science
- Insurance background or Corporate Financial background is a plus

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $118,533 - $155,000 annually , and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
