NeoGenomics is looking for Technology Transfer Scientist wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This is a Monday - Friday day shift position with a hybrid schedule, working in one of our laboratories in Aliso Viejo, CA, For Myers, FL or Durham, NC occasionally.

Position Summary:

As a Scientist you will support technical planning and execution of assay, assay component, and end-to-end operational testing for the department within one or more modalities, experience guiding project planning and execution, problem solving. The scientist is familiar with technology transfer process and methodologies. You will work independently, consistently and accurately for complex or difficult tasks, and the Scientist may also serve as the Project Manager for assigned projects, supervise project deliverables, manage the sample and data collection process, data monitoring, and all associated project manager tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently designs and executes verifications, validations, and testing within the modality areas.
  • Represents the department in a diverse range of settings, including with other departments, vendors, and conferences.
  • May provide technical consulting on project design and feasibility studies.
  • Reviews existing literature in preparation of business cases, project/product proposals or plans.
  • Analyzes, presents data and project updates to the management team.
  • Validate and translate new tests and/or new technology between sites.
  • Provides support to research collaborations, clinical trials and other department projects.
  • Prepares high quality technical reports (including validation, verification, final project) and documentation including posters/papers, client presentations and technical content for marketing materials.
  • Familiar with CAP/CLIA/Design Control requirements and knowledgeable with the specialty requirements within those organizations

Experience, Education and Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in a life, physical or computer science or M.D. preferred; M.S. in a life, physical or computer science with related experience; BS in a life, physical or computer sciences with supervisory experience and State licensure.MS./BS in a Life Science with appropriate level of relevant experience at minimum
  • 4+ years related to successful laboratory or technical experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of laboratory and/or analytical techniques.
  • A background in Assay Development is strongly preferred
  • Ability to develop and deliver complex directions and scientific project plans.
  • Detail orientated with ability to capture and record complex scientific data accurately and reliably.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills and the ability to use software tools to produce high impact presentations of data.
  • Ability to solve problems independently and escalate problems appropriately in a timely manner.
